In my recent blog post Corn on a Raw Diet, you already learned that in the season of fresh and young sweet corn (in my experience, the tastiest sweet corn sub variety is available in early September), you can easily collect the corn silk when cleaning the corn cobs.

You can store corn silk in a mason jar for a couple of days. 

I suggest that you cover the bottom of the jar with a piece of paper towel, as this will extend the shelf life of the fresh corn silk, but only for a couple of days.

To extend the shelf life of corn silk for a longer period, it is necessary to dehydrate it. You can effectively use a dehydrator for this purpose
