What Are the Pomegranate Juice Health Benefits?
By consuming pomegranate juice, you get numerous health benefits.
A Wealth of Antioxidants
When you drink pomegranate juice, you directly put the antioxidants from the pomegranate into your body. One of the main antioxidants in pomegranate is a polyphenol called punicalagin. Punicalagin helps your body to actively eliminate free radicals, which results in a reduction of oxidative stress and inflammatory reactions in the body.
Heart and Artery Health
The substances in pomegranate juice have a positive effect on the health of the cardiovascular system because they improve blood flow, reduce the level of bad cholesterol (LDL – low-density lipoprotein) and prevent the accumulation of plaque inside the arteries. Some studies suggest a link between pomegranate juice consumption and blood pressure reduction.
Anti-Inflammatory Effect
Antioxidants in pomegranate juice have an anti-inflammatory effect in the body, which helps reduce the symptoms of diseases such as arthritis and similar joint pain.
Improved Digestion
Pomegranate juice has a healing effect on the digestive system because it calms inflammatory processes in the digestive organs. Pomegranate juice also contains certain nutrients that keep the gut microbiome in good health.
Cancer Cell Prevention
Certain studies indicate that the antioxidants in pomegranate juice prevent the growth and development of certain cancer cells, specifically with prostate and breast cancers.
Skin Health
Antioxidants in pomegranate juice protect the skin from aging because they eliminate the influence of free radicals and UV radiation.
Brain Health
By consuming pomegranate juice, you directly protect your brain because you are introducing antioxidants into your body that fight against free radicals in the brain. In this way, memory and cognitive functions are improved.
Physical Abilities
Pomegranate juice contains nitrates and antioxidants that improve blood flow. This directly improves muscle health because improved blood flow automatically leads to better delivery of nutrients and oxygen to the muscles. This results in the reduction of muscle weakness and an increase in muscle endurance.
Pomegranate juice is an extremely delicious and healthy drink that you can enjoy during the holidays. As a bonus, it looks elegant and beautiful in a wine glass.

What Is the Difference between Pomegranate Arils and Seeds?
Are pomegranate arils and pomegranate seeds the same part of the pomegranate fruit?
The answer is: No, they are not. Pomegranate arils and pomegranate seeds are two different structures within the pomegranate fruit.
Let’s see what is the difference between pomegranate arils and pomegranate seeds.
- Arils: The tiny red parts you see inside a pomegranate fruit. The outer layer of each aril consists mainly of cellulose, while the central part is filled with the nutrient rich pomegranate juice and contains a small white seed.
- Seed: Even smaller than the aril, a hard, white structure located inside each aril. That white seed inside the aril is actually the seed of the whole pomegranate tree (Ah… ain’t nature amazing?!) .

Is It Better To Drink Pomegranate Juice or Eat Pomegranate Arils?
Whole fruits and vegetables are the healthiest foods. Any kind of processing of whole food degrades the nutritional quality of natural food and the effect it has on the body.
But there are exceptions… The specific structure of certain fruits and vegetables dictates that it is better to remove those parts that are difficult to digest, indigestible and potentially dangerous to the inner intestinal walls.
Pomegranate is a fruit that has a very specific structure. The seeds (or, more precisely, pomegranate ARILS) consist of cellulose walls, inside which is a small white seed and nutrient-rich pomegranate juice.
The human digestive system cannot digest cellulose. With their cellulose structure, pomegranate arils are hard structures that are difficult to digest, have indigestible walls and can potentially cause pain in people suffering from irritable bowel syndrome and similar inflammatory reactions in the intestines such as Crohn’s disease, colitis and ulcerative colitis.
The solution is very easy: juicing the pomegranate arils. By drinking pomegranate juice, your body gets easily available nutrients that are otherwise locked in the pomegranate arils.

Why Is Drinking Wine Detrimental To Health?
The wine industry attributes the benefits of wine consumption to an ingredient found in black grapes – resveratrol. But when you understand the truth about health, you realise that it doesn’t matter that a food contains some nutrient that is attributed with magical abilities, but what matters is the following:
- that the food you consume contains nutrients that the human digestive system can easily absorb
- that at the same time it does NOT contain toxins
Wine contains alcohol. Alcohol is a toxin / poison /Â toxic substance that kills every cell it comes in contact with, including non-renewable brain cells.
Now we are going to examine all the harmful effects of alcohol, and thus of wine, on the human body.
Alcohol Is Toxic to Every Cell in the Body
The liver is an organ that has the role of a customs zone / luggage inspection point. Liver checks whether arriving passengers trying to enter the Holy Land (the inside of your body) carry with them flammable (causing inflammatory reactions in the body) and harmful substances.
When you drink alcohol, your liver processes that alcohol as a poison, which damages the liver and causes fat to build up in the liver. If liver is exposed to alcohol over and over again, it becomes diseased, known as fatty liver, hepatitis, fibrosis and cirrhosis.
Alcohol Is a Carcinogen
The World Health Organisation (WHO) classifies all types of alcohol as carcinogens. If you drink any alcoholic beverage, you directly put yourself at risk of:
- Mouth, throat and oesophagus cancer
- Liver cancer
- Breast cancer
- Colon cancer
Alcoholic drinks aren’t even tasty! Alcohol is bitter, so it is a natural reaction to spit it out. This is a normal and defensive reaction of your body trying to keep you alive.
Alcohol Damages the Heart and Arteries
Drinking alcoholic beverages damages the heart and arteries leading to:
- hypertension (high blood pressure)
- unregulated heart beat
- cardiomyopathy (heart disease)
Some studies, which was sponsored by the wine industry, indicate that drinking wine in moderate amounts has a positive effect on heart health. However, these conclusions were debunked by explaining that they only showed that blood pressure drops when people relax after lunch, not because they drink a glass of wine after lunch.
Excessive Body Weight
Alcohol is a calorie source, but without any nutrients, which makes it to so-called empty calories. Empty calories are dangerous because they easily fill the body’s reserve tank without providing any nutritional value.
- 1 g of alcohol = 7 calories without any nutrients
In this way, alcohol consumption easily and quickly leads to problems with excess weight and the visceral fat (fat around the organs) accumulation.
Alcohol Destroys Mental Health
Alcohol consumption damages the nervous system and cognitive functions of the brain. All this leads to:
- anxiety
- depression
- alcohol addiction
- insomnia
- chronic fatigue
People like to escape their reality believing that alcohol gives them a sense of serenity. The truth is that alcohol is a trap that pushes them into a very dangerous and vicious cycle of drinking larger and larger doses of poison.
Alcohol Addiction
Alcohol is not only a poison, but also a substance that changes the perception of reality by manipulating the brain chemistry. The perception of reality is addictive because it represents a false escape oasis from reality and problems.
Alcohol is not only a poison. Alcohol is a poisonous trap.
Alcohol Weakens the Body’s Defence System
The body’s defence system, commonly called immunity, is a set of different organs and body functions that eliminate toxins from the body. Drinking alcohol reduces the body’s ability to detoxify itself and is directly linked to an increased risk of pneumonia and tuberculosis.
Alcohol Destroys the Gut Microbiome
Alcohol destroys the bacteria in the intestines, and thus the gut microbiome. When the intestinal microbiome is disturbed, inflammatory processes occur in the intestines that can result in the leaky gut syndrome.
Alcohol Increases the Accident Risk
Alcohol directly destroys brain cells and alters the perception of reality. If you are under the influence of alcohol, you have reduced ability to
- judge
- make the right decisions
- move with coordination
This altered state of the brain increases the risk of accidents and injuries.
Wine contains alcohol. As alcohol is a poison, wine is a poison.
The wine industry persistently uses a substance in grapes called resveratrol giving it magical abilities. This is a pure marketing gimmick supported by the fact that most people today have no understanding of health and nutrition.
Every isolated nutrient is toxic. Resveratrol in grapes has a positive health effect only when it is consumed in whole grapes, because in such case it works in synergy with all other nutrients with which it is connected within the grape structure.

What Is a Healthy Wine Alternative?
Now that we have acknowledged how harmful wine is to our health, I hope that together we can conclude that there are no compromises because health is the greatest wealth.
Fortunately, there is a delicious and elegant way to still drink a delicious and healthy drink that looks very classy in a wine glass.
Ladies and gentlemen, I proudly present to you a healthy holiday drink – pomegranate juice in a special holiday edition.

Effective Pressing Mechanism
Thanks to the effective pressing mechanism in a high-quality pomegranate press juicer, you can effortlessly juice hard pomegranate fruits and get maximum juice from them.
Easy To Use
When choosing a pomegranate press juicer, pay attention to the design itself and choose a press that has an ergonomic design. This means that the pomegranate press juicer has:
- an ergonomic handle
- a pomegranate container that is large enough to fit even large fruits
- a cup for collecting juice drops, thus preventing them from dripping onto the table
When you have a pomegranate press juicer that is a easy to use, you will enjoy making fresh pomegranate juice often.
Easy To Wash and Maintain
After each use, the pomegranate press juicer elements should be washed and dried properly. Choose a pomegranate press juicer that consists of elements that can be easily disassembled, washed, dried and reassembled. Metal elements that serve for juicing are typically not dishwasher safe, but they are very easy and quick to wash manually.
These are some of the most important features you should pay attention to when choosing a pomegranate press juicer.
