Warm strawberries in a sweet sauce will delight you if you’ve always loved chocolate covered strawberries, but now you also want a healthy version of this deliciousness!

Ingredients:

  • about 1 kg / 2.2 lbs of strawberries
  • about 200 g / 7 oz of dates*
  • 1 tablespoon of raw carob powder
  • 1 cup of clean water

    *Make sure you buy glucose syrup FREE dates.

Equipment:

  • a filter for purifying water like a reverse osmosis device
  • blender
  • dehydrator

Preparation:

  • Rinse the dates under a stream of purified water.
    Soak the dates in purified water for about half an hour.

  • Soak the strawberries in a baking soda solution for about half an hour.
    Rinse the strawberries under a stream of purified water.

  • I use a reverse osmosis system to purify my tap water.

  • Pour the water from the soaked dates into the blender.

  • Pits from the dates.
    Put the dates in a blender.

  • Add one teaspoon of raw carob powder to the blender.

  • Protect your ears from noise with antiphons.
    Blend the dates, water and carob powder.

  • Pour the sweet sauce into a bowl.

  • Take out the dehydrator tray.

  • Remove the leaves and stems from the strawberries.
    Place the strawberries onto the dehydrator tray.
    Top each strawberry with some sweet sauce.

  • Place the tray full of strawberries in sweet sauce into the dehydrator.
    Dehydrate the sweet strawberries for about an hour at 46 C / 115 F.

  • Take the sweet strawberries out of the dehydrator and enjoy this irresistible treat while the strawberries are still warm.
