Ingredients:

  • pomegranate

Equipment:

  • knife and cutting board
  • food box with lid
  • strainer
  • glass
  • bowl

Preparation:

  • Cut off the top of the pomegranate.
  • Cut the pomegranate in lines indented on its peel.
  • Disassemble the pomegranate into pieces.

  • Put each piece in a food box with a lid.
  • Close the box.
  • Shake the box vigorously.

  • Open the box.
  • Push the remaining seeds out from the pomegranate peel.

  • Close the box.
  • Shake the box again.

  • Open the box.
  • Place the strainer on top of a glass.
  • Transfer the seeds to a strainer, with the glass under the strainer, to separate the juice from the box into the glass.

  • Transfer the seeds from the strainer into a bowl.
