With these definitions in mind, we can conclude that no one gets a disease by chance, but rather that every state of health is a fair consequence of certain dietary and lifestyle choices.

Acute and Chronic Diseases

According to the duration and intensity, all diseases can be divided into acute and chronic.

Acute diseases are those that are immediate, with intense symptoms, and relatively short duration. Acute diseases show that the body has a lot of vital energy to fight against toxins.

Chronic diseases are conditions of the body that the body goes into when acute diseases have been neglected for a far too long. Chronic diseases show that the body has been intoxicated for a long time and that it is full of toxins.

Acute and Chronic Symptoms

Acute diseases are characterised by acute symptoms. Acute symptoms are intense, immediate, and typically short lived.

Examples of acute symptoms are:

  • Coughing
  • Sneezing
  • Runny nose
  • Fever
  • Tiredness
  • Weakness

Chronic diseases are characterised by chronic symptoms. Chronic symptoms are typically not intense, but they are insidious, painful, long-lasting.

Examples of chronic symptoms are:

  • Join pain – arthritis
  • Inability to breath freely – asthma
  • Inability to breath while sleeping, snoring – night apnea
  • Clogged arteries – atherosclerosis
  • High blood pressure – hypertension
  • Various intestinal disorders – Crohn’s disease / colitis / irritable bowel syndrome (IBS)

Why Are Acute Symptoms a Good Sign?

Typically, in chronic diseases there are no acute, intense symptoms. If we consider the definition of symptoms, we see that this is a bad sign.

Symptoms are the fight of the body to get rid of toxins. If the body does not show signs of fight when it is threatened by toxins, it means that the body is so deprived of its vital energy that it no longer has the strength to even fight for health.

Just think about this… why do children usually have very intense symptoms in the form of coughing and fever for example, more often than adults? This is because children typically have more vital energy than adults, so their bodies are strong enough for to fight the toxins.

The cleaner the body, the more vital energy it has. And vice versa, the more toxins there are in the body, the less vital energy it has.

Unfortunately, most adults today do not even have enough vital energy to enter into this acute state, the fight of the body against toxins.

Short and Long Water Fasts

Water fasting is the most natural healing method, instinctively used by all animal species in nature when they are injured or poisoned.

According to the duration, water fasting can be divided into short and long water fasts.

A short water fast lasts from 1 to 3 days. In practice, a short water fast means the following:

  • If you feel acute symptoms – you are suddenly weak, tired, you have a stomach ache, you have a headache, you have a fever… all these symptoms indicate that you need a short water fast.

    A short water fast means that between 1 and 3 days you just rest, sip water, abstain from any kind of food. It is important to rest. This means to sleep, or at least pretend to sleep, by lying in a dark room. The window should be open, to make sure you are getting fresh air. Sipping water is very important throughout the fast.

    No watching TV, no surfing on the Internet, no phone, nor social media. Looking at the screen strains your eyes and deprives your body of vital energy. The whole point of a water fast is to give your body a chance to accumulate its vital energy and direct it to the detoxification process.

A short water fast lasts from 1 to 3 days and is typically safe to do without professional supervision*, as the body does not even enter ketosis during this period. In the first 24 hours, the body consumes glucose from the blood. On the second and third day, the body consumes glycogen from the liver and muscles.

Only after the third day does the body enter ketosis. This is when a long water fast begins. A fast longer than 3 days requires expert supervision.

A long water fast lasts about 3 weeks.

If you suffer from any chronic disease such as arthritis, asthma, atherosclerosis, hypertension, Crohn’s disease, colitis, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), and the like, then a long water fast is probably needed.

By long I actually mean about 3 weeks of fasting, plus about a week of gradual introduction of food and physical activity.
