Frequent Water Fasts Are Not Healthy Learn why water fasting (a period when you don't eat) once a week, or a couple of times a month, for example, is NOT a healthy approach to water fasting and health. Periodic water fasts that are scheduled ahead, are NOT good for your health. Fasting according to a calendar, and a pre-planned schedule is not respecting the needs of the body at a given moment. Pre-planned water fasts are often stressful, so they lead to overeating the day before and the day after the water fast. On the other hand, some people mask their anorexic behaviour under the term "water fasting". The point is to ALWAYS live and eat in such a way that water fasting is not necessary. Why I Never Fast?

Why I Never Fast? In 2022, I did my 3 week supervised water fast at a water fast center in Costa Rica. This means that I consumed only and exclusively clean water and that I was exclusively resting during that period. This powerful therapy brought many health benefits to me. I am very glad that I had such an experience. Since then, I have been organising supervised water fasts in collaboration with an expert on this topic.
